How to tell if the shock absorber should be replaced?
This is judged according to the damping force, when the force is smaller, then our shock absorber is soft. If this is the case, the effect of the spring in absorbing vibration becomes poor. It will also reduce the adhesion of the body, tires and the ground, but the comfort has been improved, making it more suitable for family cars. If it is a resistance spring, it will make the adhesion stronger and more suitable for sports cars.
The performance of the shock absorber needs to be replaced, mainly in the following three points:
1. When we drive for ten kilometers, if the shell of the shock absorber is not particularly hot, it means that your shock absorber is not working. If it works after you add lube, it's ok. If it still doesn't work, change it.
2. Abnormal noise and oil leakage. Oil leaks are easier to spot, but abnormal noises are harder, so replace them as soon as you spot them. Then when the car turns, look at the roll of the car body. If the roll increases significantly, then your shock absorber should be replaced.
3. When you park, if you give the body a force, if your body shakes a lot, then it means that you should change the shock absorber.
